Royal Castle Scramble & Titles
The weekly castle capture race: one march per player, turret and reinforcement rules, Sanctuary 6+ occupation, Royal commendation chests, and the full Royal City title system with queue mechanics.

Royal Castle Scramble is the weekly castle capture: alliances race to take and hold the Royal Castle, on the same weekday and time each week. The castle fight itself is fast and simple — the preparation (marches, reinforcements, Sanctuary levels) is where matches are decided.
This guide covers the capture rules, reinforcement mechanics, commendation chests, and the full Royal City title system that the winning kingdom unlocks.
How It Works
- Weekly, same weekday and same time every week — set your alarm once and it never changes.
- One march per player. You get a single march for the whole event.
- It cannot be sped up. No speedups, no acceleration items — the march speed you march with is the march speed that lands.
- Rallies are recommended. One march per player makes every march count; rallies pool the alliance’s marches into a single credible attack instead of a stream of solo casualties.
- The initial march is a race. First marches decide who is sieging and who is scrambling — march timing at the opening whistle matters more than raw power.
Turrets and Positioning
- Turrets do NOT activate in the Scramble — those are KvK mechanics only. There is no turret screen to fight through here.
- Port to the mud if you are not worried about attacks — no shield is needed there. The mud area is the safe staging ground; use it.
Capture and Reinforcement
- 4 hours to take the castle. Occupation ticks up over the window — it fills faster with a high occupation percentage and slower when contested by defenders fighting back.
- Reinforcement limit: 30 people on the castle. That is the hard cap — plan the reinforcement list before the fight, not during it.
- Reinforcements get chipped. Defenders bleed your garrison down — pull out and re-reinforce to reset the chip. A reinforcement at 20% HP is worth less than a fresh body in that slot.
Who Takes, Who Farms
Castle takers must be Sanctuary 6+ — everyone else farms resource tiles for points.
Only Sanctuary 6+ players can occupy the castle. The split defines your role:
- Sanctuary 6+: march for the castle, rally, reinforce the 30 slots.
- Everyone else: farm resource tiles around the castle for event points — your march still earns, just not on the walls.
Check your Sanctuary level before the event starts; a Sanctuary 5 player marching on the castle wastes the one march they get.
Royal Commendation Chests
- R5 only — the alliance leader claims by clicking the castle after the battle.
- Eligibility: in the kingdom for more than 24 hours. Players who crossed into the kingdom less than a day before the fight do not count for the chest.
Royal City Titles
Winning the castle unlocks the kingdom’s title system — timed percentage buffs applied by the title holders:

The queue mechanics:
- Queue system — players line up per title slot, first come first served.
- Each slot runs 5 minutes.
- Mail arrives at the start and end of your slot, so you know exactly when your buff began and ended.
- Reapply immediately when your slot ends — the same title can be re-queued, with no limit on reapplications. Back-to-back slots are the intended pattern.
- 20-minute cooldown after applying — the one brake on the queue. Time your reapply around it.
Title buffs compound with everything else in the weekly calendar — a research title slot during Alliance Duel Phase 3 or a training slot during Phase 5 is the calendar double-dip the whole week is built around.
